Objectif Sénégal pour dix jeunes

L’association mussipontaine Terre Africaine a réuni les dix jeunes de 15 à 25 ans qui partiront au Sénégal cet été. Une première rencontre, de l’administratif et la recherche de solutions pour financer le séjour.

L’appel lancé par l’association Terre Africaine, concernant un chantier au Sénégal, a séduit des jeunes de toute la Lorraine. Une première prise de contact a eu lieu, samedi à Mousson, dans la salle de la Colonie, sous forme ludique pour apprendre à se connaître. Avant de préparer et de partager le repas puis d’entamer la partie administrative du séjour. « Chacun doit rédiger une lettre de motivation auprès du ministère des Affaires étrangères, qui gère le dispositif JSI : Jeunesse, solidarité internationale », explique Marjorie Pionzda, qui encadrera le groupe avec Françoise Rebmann, du 16 juillet au 5 août.

Sur place, à Keur Barka, situé à sept kilomètres de Saint-Louis, les huit filles et deux garçons vont réhabiliter quatre salles de classe. Le gros œuvre est pris en charge par des entreprises, les jeunes Français s’occuperont de la peinture et de la réfection des sols, entre autres.

« Ils vont participer à un festival culturel avec leurs homologues sénégalais », indique Jean-Luc Rebmann, président de l’association. Lors des représentations, ils seront tantôt spectateurs, tantôt acteurs, « sauf pendant la lutte sénégalaise, le sport national ».

Les échanges pourraient fonctionner en sens inverse à partir de mi-avril. Un représentant d’Afrique vision nouvelle (AVN) pourrait se rendre à Pont-à-Mousson.

Samedi, Romwald Parisot, un lycéen lyonnais, participait à la rencontre mais ne se rendra pas à Keur Barka ; il finissait un stage d’observation d’une semaine à Terre Africaine. En 2014, sa sœur était partie au Sénégal. Lui y pense car il aime voyager et découvrir de nouvelles cultures.

Plus tard, l’élève, en 1re littéraire au lycée Saint-Marc de Lyon, souhaiterait effe
ctuer des traductions ou enseigner le français à l’étranger. Son stage à Terre Africaine ne pouvait que correspondre à ses attentes. Il a travaillé sur la communication de l’association et proposé une version anglaise de son blog.

Sujet important traité samedi après-midi : la recherche de solutions pour financer le séjour. Là encore, Romwald avait recherché des informations pour lancer différentes pistes.

Chacun joue un rôle essentiel dans la préparation du séjour.

• Presentation of Terre Africaine

  Terre Africaine is an association of international and mutual assistance created in 1996.

  Our goals are:

  -To identify and to aware peope of the needs of the Africans in France and in Africa.

  -To create networks of French and African union.

  -To organize a program of actions aiming at inserting young people on the French territory with social and educational ways.

  -To take part in the development of the African community.

   

  The activities of the association are divided between international solidarity actions and awareness actions in France.

  The association works on small projects aiming at helping directly the populations and African associations. The projects are led in partnership with the local associations.

  After multiple years of experience on the field, the association now has a developed network of people; the applications of interventions are plentiful.

  The project is chosen depending on the reliability of the local partnership and of the type of project requested.

  Most of the projects are done by young people as part of the JSIMAEE (Jeunesse Solidarité Internationale du Ministère des Affaires Etrangères et Européennes). It is an unforgettable experience which gives, to some, the desire to continue the adventure.

  Terre Africaine and the international solidarity

   

  Help by forgetting one’s logics and certainties.

  It is important to discuss with partnerships. The projects have to be a vital need.

  Because if tomorrow the populations don’t see any structure improving their quality of life, they will have to increase the number of people living in the cities.

  The bravest ones will choose to join Europe and will increase the number of illegal clandestines.

  Don’t build just to give yourself a good conscientiousness, make sure that the project won’t be redirected and that it will benefit the population.

   

  The construction of a school or of a free clinic must be followed by the creation of a post of a teacher or a medical specialist. Does the country may afford these posts?

  So, we take part in the renovation or the construction of activities already existing but which don’t own premise or when the partnership association decides to take care of the activity.

   

  Helping to make small social and economic projects allows to make those plans profitable for the local population.
